Seeing Each Other For Who We Are

If we saw each other as the spiritual light beings that we are, and not for our temporary vehicle, which is the body, how different would things be? We would suspend judgment towards each other and live in peace. I believe this is possible. When speaking to a person, without judgment, we can simply look into their eyes, without thought, remain present and feel their energy, tune into their energetic signature to learn about them. Having interacted with the person at the level of the soul, we can then proceed to formulate how we feel about them.

The other day I was at the post-office and got in line behind someone, and automatically felt their intensely magnetic energy. It was so strong that I felt a strong attraction to this person (without fully seeing their face!). It took a good 20 minutes of standing in line for me to even realize that while I thought the person was male, it was actually a woman.

Having newly discovered my attraction to the same sex, up until that point, my preference was predominately male, yet feeling her intense, passionate and pleasant energy made me realize that it goes beyond looks, sex and other classifications. I reminded myself that spirit is without gender or label – it is simply pure consciousness of love and light. It got me thinking – if we dropped the sex, religious dogma, and the body, we would simply be pure consciousness; we would have nothing to fight over anymore: I believe we would have peace on earth.

Despite our perceived differences, we all bleed the same, we all desire to be loved and accepted, and we all have the same basic survival needs. We are all housed by the same mother earth, under the same sky. So, why are there still power struggles and violence in the world? One thing I know for sure is that any act of violence and judgment is fear and lack of self-love projected outward.

We are all energetically linked – all part of a whole that is oneness. When we attack our brother or sister, we are really attacking ourselves. One solution to this that I see is to love yourself and others fully and freely, and without judgment. The more love you give out, the more you raise the collective vibration of the planet, thus decreasing violence and fear. I have also experienced a shift through meditation – when I practice it, it makes me more calm, grounded, and present, and I’ve been told by some that they felt more grounded, present, and relaxed around me – much like the way I feel when I’m in the presence of someone who holds a high vibration.

We need not hold our breath, waiting for a messiah to come save our planet, for we can recognize that we have within us a spiritual warrior – a current day savior who has the capacity in his/her heart to spread light to the world and aid in the cosmic expansion of our planet. We can counteract fear and violence by sending love and peace to mother earth through the embodiment of love and peace within us, and sending it out to others. We can hold a positive vibration of light and love for our brothers and sisters who are still in darkness. We cannot fight our way to peace, but we can promote peace through acts of kindness and love, and it starts with us.
